A sneak peek into Goa’s swanky new resort style hotel – Park Regis

Goa is one place that beckons me every now and then, irrespective of the fact that I’ve been there a zillion times. It feels like such an effortless holiday with plenty of sun, sand, and never a dull moment. My recent sojourn to Goa was an impromptu plan like always, but this time I stayed away from the usual haunts and decided to just lay low confined to my hotel room.

We checked in at the Park Regis at Arpora, a fairly new property just a few minutes away from the Baga-Calangute hub. Despite being located amidst two of the most lively beaches, Baga and Anjuna, the vicinity of the hotel is appealingly serene and isolated. The facade resembles a huge mansion, akin to the ones we’ve seen in the 90s Bollywood movies, with golden gates and uphill driveway. The interiors, in contrast to the entrance, are quite subtle adorned with chic furniture and decor.

The curved structure of the property is surrounded by the pool area with an adjacent bar, overlooking the surroundings on the other side. It’s when you step inside the spacious rooms that you feel the allure of this place with all the white interiors and comfort etched in every nook and corner.

All the rooms are equipped with a mini bar, personal safe, working desk, coffee table, bathtub and a private balcony. The suites also include a living area where you can have a chill session with friends, over drinks from the mini bar.

Spice’d – the all-day dining restaurant has a very minimalistic look and an elaborate offering to keep you satiated. Do try their South Indian and Goan specialties. For drinks, you could stop by the Piano Bar or have one lazing by the pool. The staff is very courteous and friendly, and the kitchen team was kind enough to cater to all our whims and fancies.

The hotel has everything going for it — luxe interiors, stunning views, spacious rooms, spa, gym, kids recreational area, and a lot of space to let yourself lose. Despite the fact that it’s not located right by the beach we loved everything about this place. And the fact that it was in close proximity to all the buzzing places was definitely an added benefit.
